Board of Trustees

Apart from the day to day work done by the section leaders, such as program planning and the actual running of the section meetings, the running of the group is split three ways.  The General running of the group is the responsibility of the Group Lead Volunteer (GLV). The GLV is responsible for the continuity and development of training in Sections of the Group and for supporting all the adults who work within the Group. The Board of Trustees supports the GLV in meeting the responsibilities of their appointment.

The Board of Trustees are responsible for:

  • The maintenance of the Group’s property and equipment
  • The raising of funds and the administration of the Group’s finance
  • The insurance of persons, property and equipment
  • Group public occasions
  • Assisting with the recruitment of Leaders and other adult support

The Fundraising Committee is there to support the group financially by organising fundraising events and other group social events.
